I am behind in my paintings so i decided to post one when I have completed one so as to ease the pressure.
I have always been fascinated with ruins, the beauty of the stones, the mystery of what happened there so long ago. I visited these beautiful ruins in Alet Des Bains, France, this June with my painting buddies. The cemetery adjacent to the ruins were equally fascinating. Who knows, maybe I will paint them at some point in time.
Thank you for viewing my art.
8 x 10″ oil on canvas panel $125.
Your choice of subjects is quite varied. How I agree with you: I can’t be put in a box either though for the thirty day challenge I limited myself to the subjects of my home state of New Mexico. So far my favorite paintings of yours is “A Children’s Story”. Never in a million years would I have thought to paint that so, to me, it is totally unique and quite lovely. Thanks for sharing your work. You are a gifted painter.
Carol, thank you so much for your lovely comments. I’m painting some of my favorite things so it helps to pick the theme. The old children’s books are so pretty. and a little easier to paint then some things. I lived in New Mexico for 10 years, miss it every day and plan to move back hopefully next year. There is no shortage of beautiful and inspiring sites there. I love it! Thanks. again, Chris
Chris this is really beautiful. You can paint anything girl. I am looking forward to seeing you again sometime soon. Maybe on a Saturday I can come out and we can have coffee. Love you! Ran
Hi Randy…thank you so much. I have your voice in my head when I paint reminding more about all the important things such as value, shapes, etc. I would love to get together soon, maybe this Sat.? I want to see. Renee’s show too. I would like to get to class on 9/24 if there is room. I love everything you paint and look forward to seeing what you will paint next. love you. Chris
I absolutely love this painting! Wonderful mood, brushwork with sparkle – I feel as if I am right there getting ready to paint on location myself!
Thank you, Tammy! I really appreciate the encouraging comments. The ruins were so beautiful to look at. I may do a large version of this.. I think it would be fun. I hope that you are enjoying the 30 day challenge! Chris
